

Rocio Enriquez-bucheli

The artist Rocio Enriquez Bucheli originally from South America, was born in Pasto, Colombia. Her obsession in life has been to follow a professional career in fine art, and she achieved a degree in Fine Art from Colombia in 1986 before travelling to Europe 1991 and achieved a MA Art in Architecture in East London University and further studies in Art Management at Birkbeck College London. Throughout her career Rocio has painted extensively, exhibiting her work in Colombia, Spain and England. Her work has been bought by private collectors and is in public places like the government in Colombia and has 2 commissions works at Virgo Fidelis School in London. Rocio had found her inspiration in ancient themes from design in the Inca’s figures, Latin-America Art and the strong landscape of the Andes and the tropical climate where she came from. Reality and illusion, perception and sensitivity can be seen in her work. She continues to develop her artist language, especially through abstractions and reality to emphasise the underlying atmosphere and structure.
