Rafael Cauduro

Rafael Cauduro

Mexico, b. 1950

Among the most highly esteemed painters in Mexico today, Rafael Cauduro trained originally in architecture and industrial design. He is best known for his hyper-realistic and illusionist works in a wide variety of media, including - besides his innovative uses of paint - metals and resins. A residency at the Pilchuck Glass School introduced him to the potential of glass. His friend, Narcissus Quagliata, introduced him to Bullseye. The rest is part of R&E history.
