

Mauricio Linares-Aguilar

Mauricio Linares-Aguilar, Visual artist. Graduated in Graphic Design from the University Dr. Jose Matias Delgado of El Salvador and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences of the University of Arkansas, USA. He has held eighteen personal exhibitions and participated in more than one hundred group exhibitions in various cities around the world. Linares Aguilar produces painting, drawing, engraving, installation and photography. His work is in private and public collections: the Museum of Art of El Salvador, MARTE, the Museum of Modern Art of Guatemala, the Institute of Graphic Arts of Oaxaca, IAGO and the House of Culture of Monterrey, Mexico. The artist has been the recipient of various recognitions, among which are: the Palmares Diploma of Plastic Arts, the Honor Salon of the Liceo Frances Saint Exupery, the scholarship for creators of Iberoamerica, FONCA-AECI and the Fulbright scholarship. Linares-Aguilar has also been a university professor for sixteen years and worked as an independent cultural consultant and manager.
