Fernando Andriacci

Fernando Andriacci was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1972. His training, on the other hand, is due to the Valle region, since from 1983, he studied in the Oaxacan capital, first at the House of Culture; later, in the Municipal Workshop of Plastic Arts and Monumental Painting Rodolfo Nieto; and in 1989 he entered the Rufino Tamayo Plastic Arts Workshop. He has dabbled in all techniques, and his production has been made known in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Among the first ones, those dedicated to lithographic work that he presented, in 1991 and 1992, in the Santo Domingo Regional Museum and in the Miguel Cabrera Gallery of the Casa de la Cultura, respectively, stand out. In 1993, under the title of "Myths of Reality", he exhibited a series of oils and encaustic at the Rufino Tamayo Gallery. And three years later, "The forests of signs" marked his presence in Mexico City, from Casa Lamm, where he participated in the collective "Opposites and Simultaneous: Twelve Painters" (1995). In Oaxaca it has been possible to follow his career through more than a dozen collectives, but he has also exhibited in other cities in our country, and abroad he began exhibiting in 1989, first in Palo Alto, California. In 1997, he participated in "Art from Oaxaca", shown in New Cork under the auspices of Nafinsa Securities Inc. That same year, the city of Hamburg opened its doors to show "Erbe und Gegenwart Maler aus Oaxaca", organized by Mexicans and the Quetzalli Gallery of Oaxaca. His mural work includes History, traditions and legends (1990), in the Municipal Library of San Felipe del Agua, Oaxaca; and Total Eclipse “91 (1991), at the Astronomical Observatory, in the city of Oaxaca.
