

Edgar Soberon
Cuba, b. 1962
Edgar Soberon was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba in 1962. Edgar Soberon and his family left the island for Madrid, Spain in 1971 to later settle permanently in New York city in 1973. Soberon attended Parson School of Design where he later served as drawing and printmaking instructor. Soberon's work can be found in numerous public and private collections in the US and abroad. In 2010 the artist had his first solo museum exhibition Movements in Stillness at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery, Al. This exhibition comprised a selection of works from the last decade. Soberon presently lives and works in Central Mexico.
