Cristina Arnedo

Born in Mexico City, she graduated in Business Administration. From a very young age she showed great interest in drawing and painting, participating in many private workshops until 15 years ago, when she decided to dedicate professionally to painting. Cristina Arnedo also holds deep familial ties to the culture and landscapes of San Sebastian in Spain’s Basque region. Cristina Arnedo currently divides her time between the mountainous lakeside town of Valle de Bravo and Mexico City. In her artist's carrier, she has constantly worked in the search of harmony between different materials and colors, comparing contrasts to find the equilibrium between, for instance, the hardness of sand and the smoothness of oil or the subtlety of water. The canvas acts as the encounter point for a diversity of materials.
